I increased our revenue by 581% in 6 months by not listening to elder CEO's. Here's how:

I respect all my elders, but there are some things that I don't follow.
For example I don't ask my employees to work 50,60, 70 hour work weeks.
I don't pressurize them. I don't tell them to not take leaves.

I knew that my employees are my age. Young in their 20s. I wanted to be a good friend and a role model for them. So they can spread the positivity with whomever they work with in future.

Instead I gave them straight conditions:
1. You work anytime you want, any day. I used to pay them the salary of full time employee for part-time work, that a person gets in India. For 1/2 the effort, double the pay. Because I appreciate people for the value they bring, instead of just treating them as slave workers, like other companies do. Most employers straight off just dismiss the feelings and opinions of their employees, which is inhumane to me.

2. I allowed my team holidays whenever they want, they could even take 15 day holidays in a month and I won't give a damn, as long as they completed the work beforehand. No hard rules, and whenever they are sick, instant holiday. In case if they need to do something important unplanned, instant holiday. Do the work afterwards. No major hurdles for anyone. They just believed me, I believed them. They asked when they needed help and they got it. It was just simple, honest and positive culture I believed in and built along.

3. I gave them the growth space they needed, they could reach out to me 24/7, yes anytime if they needed help regarding any technical or life related guidance. I'm 21, so I understand that sometimes we all youngsters need a good friend to discuss our problems without getting intimidated. I always made clear that if you're in my team then your problems are my problems, just discuss. I won't be able to solve them 100% everytime, but discussing will give some solution for sure. Because I've been through many of these problems, so I know how to solve them.

What was the benefit of doing all this?
6 month Results:
Watch time grew by 93%
Revenue grew by 581% (jaw-dropping).

I led a 10-person team at SkuixStudios where we built such a positive and growth-driven culture that everyone wants to work with me again. For both the skills and leadership growth they experienced in just a few months.

Now all the teams are being handled by our managing director. I've left all my startups to continue my education in the USA at Hult International Business School.
